Many companies have been affected by the poor state of the economy, and with the recent bankruptcy filing by Chrysler car manufacturer, Chrysler has been just one of the casualties.
The PGA and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic released a statement on Friday, May 1, 2009 that the Tour is scheduled to continue in 2010 and future years.
Tim Finchem from the PGA Commission confirmed the tournament has a solid financial base. Finchem was quoted saying "The foundation that has been built over the last 50 years provides solid financial footing for the Desert Classic Charities group to continue the strong traditions of the Bob Hope Classic."
We look forward to the annual Bob Hope Chrysler Classic next year and for many more to come!
